  1. After reading the first article I really enjoy the way that they have redesigned the Whitney logo. The thin W that spans out in different ways due to the responsiveness creates unique movement throughout this and will really catch the viewers eye as something interesting. Since art work and museums are forever changing, it would only make sense that a logo going along with one also changes. In todays world you always want something to be different, but also rememerable to your audience so whenever they see it they can always associate it. Whitney did just that, this sleek look really makes it eye catching, along with the changes that happen across different canvases.
  2. Responsive design is the change that happens to a design when moving from one form or platform to another. For instance, a responsive design would respond differently and look differently on a computer, tablet, and a phone. A pro of having a responsive design is that it gives the design more depth and dimension. Making it more dynamic and versatile across different platforms, and for most cases easier to navigate and clearly read since the design is also expanding and shrinking. A con of having a responsive design could be just simply getting it to not only work and read well across different platforms but also having the expansion and shrink to feel cohesive.
  3. I disagree that this redesign is boring. Personally, one of my favorite parts about this design is the way that it’s open ended, sometimes art itself is open ended, and in Museums so many people gather their own meaning of what they are looking at. So I think this rebrand really ties the idea of art together, and does a beautiful minimal way of showing that. Boring and simple are not one in the same, this design is simple but in no way do I believe it is boring due to the movement and interaction you have with this design. If it was just a static design then I could understand bringing in the word boring. Above all the movement really gives it a dynamic look.
